The Theology Program Online

The Theology Program (TTP) at Reclaiming the Mind Ministries seeks to provide quality affordable in-depth theological education for all people. We have developed a graded on-line theological studies program where the students can do all their learning and interaction through distance learning.

As an official on-line certificate student, you will be placed in a virtual class to engage in theology with a community of other learners. The classes will be lead by seminary trained instructors who will review your assignments and facilitate the class. Certificate students will receive a certificate for successful completion of the course. While this certificate is not formally accredited, it will evidence completion of a TTP course which is quickly becoming a significant achievement because of its high standards in theological development. The charge for the certificate program is $100. The actual functioning cost for each student is $600, but we have ministry partners who cover most of the tuition.

As a certificate student, you will watch all courses online (or through DVD) and complete all assignments according to the syllabus. As part of your requirements as an online certificate student, you will engage in live dialog online with the instructor and other students building theological community and digging deeper into the subjects of the course. This online community will take place weekly on RMM’s ConnectionGate Campus. Since some people may not have the computer or Internet capabilities to engage in the live interaction, we have allowed for a second option to fulfill community requirements through the RMM forums.

There will be maximum connection with the instructors and other students. Scheduled online ConnectionGate sessions will occur each week for one hour each covering the lesson for that week. The reclaimingthemind.org forum is set up in such a way that the student will have a “classroom” on the forum devoted to news, topics, and issues pertaining to their course. The online instructor will be available in the ConnectionGate chat rooms at scheduled times and through email for any questions.

Certificate students must purchase the required textbooks for their required reading (although, for those who are unable, we will provide alternate online reading). This is a one time purchase since all of the core courses use the same texts. If the certificate student desires honors standing, he or she must also purchase and read a book from the list in the syllabus (note: you have to make an “A” to qualify for honors).

The instructors are all seminary trained and have pastors hearts. They are approved TTP teachers because of their desire to fulfill the mission of RMM to reclaim the mind by bringing theology back to the Church at a high level of scholarship. All people who seriously desire to learn theology are welcome to enroll.
